Just want to express my appreciation to Janet and FISH school of motoring for helping me to pass my driving test. I have had a number of previous driving instructors but none as supportive or with the level of patience and professionalism as Janet. I would like to say a massive thank you to my lovely instructor Gabriella. She guided me to pass my driving test first time with her at the age of 38. Having put off learning for ages, I was very anxious about driving. She has been so patient, polite and friendly with me and gave me freedom with decision taking on the road which helped me to become feel safe and confident on the road. She is very knowledgeable and understanding, and most of all give very clear, consistent instructions and explanations!!🤗

I was very nervous about learning to drive, having taken lessons a few years ago with a different school where I was an anxious wreck the whole time. Completely different story with Gabriella, she immediately put me at ease with her endless patience, turning me into a safe, confident driver, passing today with only one minor fault. I have just taken some refresher driving lessons from Janet in her manual car, and I found her extremely helpful and patient, she was building my confident back up from the very start.

I now feel I am ready to be out on these busy roads on my own.

5*. Would highly recommend Gabi. Started learning with a different driving school and the instructor made my anxiety even worse. Gabi was very patient and understood my anxieties about driving. She made me feel so relaxed and at ease. She is professional and very knowledgeable.

anyone looking for a driving instructor janet is your lady. i felt as i could be myself and always felt comfortable in the car. there was often time for jokes and the atmosphere was a great place to learn.

I took some refresher driving lessons from Janet, she was very supportive and helpful, explaining everything in great details.

Janet is honestly the best instructor I’ve had (I’ve had 3 different ones the past 3 years) she was incredibly patient with the fact that I suffer from anxiety and my driving mistakes would often triggered my nerves/ anxiety attacks however she was so understanding and reassuring. Janet was a brilliant teacher really knew how to progress lessons so I always felt I was developing and improving. She’s also good company and a great laugh – if you have to spend 2 hours in a car with a near-stranger that’s a huge bonus. I would really recommend learning with her – by the time I came to take my test I felt really well prepared and passed with only a few minors.

I had a few lessons with Janet to cover my usual driving instructor right before my test. She is a very well educated instructor with the best way of explaining how, when & why to do everything. Such a lovely lady with the very best interest of her learners!

Janet is simply a great driving instructor. I was a driver with experience in US, EU and India and needed an UK license. I took the intensive course and Janet was very accommodating in fitting evening schedules and methodical in her training. Janet ensured that I got an understanding of the test area with lots of pointers (Queens roundabout – see Shell station – right turn – right lane!!) which really helped as I an not local to Farnborough. I can only imagine how intimidating my test would have been had I not had the level of comfort I developed under Janet’s training. Lastly, I had developed quite a few bad habits that had snuck in from when I drove previously. Janet really coached me on these and helped ensure the tips and guidance were simple and (for the engineer in me) also explained why. I can whole heartedly say I am a much more confident in my driving safety than I was previously. I also passed my test on the first try with 5 minor faults, whoop whoop!! Can’t recommend Janet enough!

I passed my driving test with Janet years ago. I was really stuck, couldn’t pass with my instructor at that time when Janet was recommended to me. I passed in only few months with her, she was brilliant, her technique worked wonder with me!

Both being hungarians, we often had a laugh during lessons which made me feel less nervous which was so important at the time considering that I was 9 months pregnant during pandemic and thanks to her, still managed to pass first time.

So I am an older learner …35…there was a reason I never learnt to drive…anxiety!! Jeanette was so supportive right from the beginning after I explained my anxiety before I even had my first lesson. She helped me gain confidence behind the wheel, challenged and supported me to go outside of my own comfort zone. Jeanette became more than just my instructor, she became my friend and would tailor each lesson based on my anxiety levels that day. And now I have my licence and wow the freedom to me and my kids has been incredible this summer holiday. Thank you 🙂

Passed first time thanks to Janet! I started lessons in May after having a terrible experience with another instructor in the area who basically got me to drive the car on my first lesson without any prior instructions. Janet helped me gain so much confidence in my driving and she goes above and beyond preparing you for your test. I highly recommend her and it’s well worth booking 2 lessons a week close to your test if you can. I did this and it felt like I improved so much in such a short space of time. Couldn’t be happier to finally have a full license, thank you Janet!

I am an older learner (24) and have not learnt to drive previously due to confidence issues. I decided that I wanted to learn to drive an automatic which is how I found Janet. I have always found Janet to be calm, understanding and great to have a laugh with. I ended up spending a year learning to drive, mainly due to my own lack in confidence but once I got over those hurdles, I found it miles easier. Hi Janet here is my thought on my training now, I really enjoyed my driving lessons with Janet as she was always patient. Instead of taking a more aggressive approach to teaching, like my previous instructor before Janet, Janet was more calm and supportive. A couple of my friends were having lessons with Janet and recommended her to me. I´m glad I changed as Janet pointed out some things I was doing wrong and made a few changes to my driving. When making any mistakes, she made me realise about it and gave clues to correct if off in future. It is really easy to get on with her as she is a very very friendly person. I am glad I took my lessons with her. I was soon taking my test and passing it. Thanks Janet and I would really recommend her to others.

I would highly recommend Janet as a driving instructor. I was very nervous as a first time learner but Janet has helped me to pass my test fist time! I felt very comfortable learning with Janet, she is calm, patient and offers brilliant advice. I put off learning to drive for years as I been a nervous driver and had a couple of bad experience with different instructors in the area. I went on automatic as I tried manual car before and I just could`t get my had around it. But that’s how I felt with my reversing manoeuvres as well before I met Janet from FISH School of Motoring. She was always very patient and easy going. She explained the manoeuvres in a really easy to understand way that I found very helpful as well. On my 1st attempt on my driving test for my complete surprise I passed 1st time with no fault being recorded. I would highly recommend Janet for anybody who thinking to learn to drive.
